Those were the days! Only went to King's Lane in 5th and 6th, but Mr. Searcy was my favorite teacher in elementary school period! Also, had my first crush in Mr. Searcy's class...Orrin Rucker and my first best friend...Marva Collins!

I started Kindergarten at King's Lane Elementary. My Kindergarten teacher, Mrs.Orr, is now my sorority sister. I actually talk to her on the phone and visit her home from time to time when I come back to Nashville. Isn't that so funny! I went there for 5th and 6th grades too. What's up Mr. Searcy- 5th grade- I forgot the pod.... Dang!!!!!

I remember being in the pod and almost getting a paddling for leaning over to get a book that was under the curtain between the classrooms. The teacher's name was Ms. Bell. She is the reason I became a teacher.

I attended 5th and 6th grades here, as I'm sure lots of you fellow Maplewood peps did - I was here very old school though 1974 - 1975 (see told you). Let's start a fun inquiry; who remembers the Pod's they were in?
